Power To The People

 

We are the people that hold this country together. Together, immigrants and whoever your title as an American, African American, Haitian American, Italian American, we are together as one people.

The Declaration of Independence stated that; all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it.

In America, everyone is created equal whether you’re black, white, yellow, orange, green, pink, etc… if you’re a human being and you’re breathing there’s nothing different from you and I. When Haiti, Germany, Africa, Vietnam, went through a problem, we went through problem. We will not let a racist president divide us. “If anybody wants to go home, then all of us have to go home.” Mayor Ras Baraka

“We are American whether we are descendants of Toussaint Louverture, we are Americans whether we die in the Vietnam War, the Korean war or the first World War. We are American and there is nothing Donald Trump can do about it. We shouldn’t be scared to do certain things in this country because of our race, ethnicity or gender. We are American whether we are Africans, Haitian, Asian, German, Italian, we are American whether we came here 30 years ago or last night.” The only people in this country that aren’t immigrants are native American.

History has made us American. Everybody on this planet is from Africa. Yes, we are immigrants and immigrants built America. We came here against our will and if you are mad that we here you should have never brought us here in the first place, you should have never let our parents believe that America can give their kids a better future. We deserve to be treated like a human being, to be served like human beings, in this day, in this society by any means necessary.

“Now – with the US withdrawing TPS for Haitians, Salvadorans and others who are struggling like everyone else . . . I ask for your support in our demand to extend TPS provisions . . . and I also urge my sisters and brothers of the Haitian community to unify with all of our sisters and brothers, here in the US and throughout the planet who are under attack by the injustices and aggression .”
